Xinjiang (Sinopec)
Report summary
Sinopec operates some oil and gas fields in the Junggar and Tarim basins. The Chunguang, Chunfeng and Chunhui oil fields in the Junggar basin are operated by Shengli oilfield subsidiary. A number of technologies have been applied to recover the heavy oil in the Chunfeng and Chunhui fields. The Shunbei oil and gas field, discovered in 2014, plays a critical role for Sinopec to increase reserves and grow production during the 14th five-year period.
