Yuanba
Report summary
The Yuanba gas field is located in the Bazhong licence, in northern Sichuan Basin, and the main reservoir is the marine carbonate Changxing formation. Sinopec Corp operates the Yuanba field which is the second largest gas asset in the company's domestic portfolio, behind the nearby Puguang gas fields. The source rock formation is thinly layered with high pressure and high temperature, making spudding wells highly challenging.
