      • Stewart is Vice President, Upstream Research with a specific focus on the Middle East and North Africa. Since joining Wood Mackenzie in 1996, Stewart has worked on an extensive range of oil & gas research and consulting projects covering the Middle East, North Africa and West Africa. He has worked with international oil companies, NOCs, governments and financial institutions, advising on regional entry and growth strategies, fiscal terms and asset benchmarking, M&A opportunities, global supply outlook and project finance due diligence. He has appeared before a UK parliamentary select committee, providing expert opinion on the Middle East oil and gas sector. He is a regular speaker at industry conferences and is quoted extensively in the financial press. Stewart has 28 years oil industry experience in a variety of technical and commercial functions. Before joining Wood Mackenzie Stewart was a geophysicist with GETECH. Stewart started his career as a field engineer, spending two years exploring for oil and gas in Nigeria and Libya. Stewart graduated from Leeds University with a BEng (Honours) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and holds an MSc in Exploration Geophysics, also from Leeds.

      • Ann-Louise Hittle brings to Wood Mackenzie over 25 years experience in analysing global oil markets. She directed the development of and leads Wood Mackenzie’s Macro Oils Service, launched in April 2005 and focused on global oil markets. Ann-Louise has established an international reputation for her analysis of short to long term oil markets. Her career began with Gulf Oil after which she was Staff Editor with Petroleum Intelligence Weekly focused on OPEC and markets in Asia. Thereafter, she was Middle East/Oil Markets research associate with Kissinger Associates in New York and then Senior Oil and Gas Futures Analyst with Shearson Lehman Brothers. Ann-Louise joined Wood Mackenzie from CERA, where she was Research Head of the Upstream Oil Service with responsibility for world oil market analysis and writing the long term scenarios. Ann-Louise graduated from St. Lawrence University and holds a Masters Degree from Harvard University in Middle East Studies.

      • Giles directs Wood Mackenzie’s LNG research and is a global gas expert, maintaining client relationships across the world. Having led the development of our LNG Corporate offering, Giles now manages Wood Mackenzie’s LNG Service and Tool products, drawing on his nine years of experience in gas & LNG. His particular expertise lies in LNG supply, LNG contracting and pricing, LNG costs, FLNG, asset valuation, competitor benchmarking and market analysis. Prior to joining the LNG team in 2008, Giles worked in Wood Mackenzie’s upstream group covering the Middle East and South Asia. He previously worked for Evaluate Energy in London. Giles holds a BA in History & Politics including a final year paper on African Petroleum Economies, from the University of Exeter.

      • Luke is Head of Corporate Research for the EMEARC region, based in Edinburgh. The Corporate group is responsible for Corporate Service, M&A Service and Corporate Benchmarking Tool. Luke joined Wood Mackenzie in 2000, initially as a Latin America-focused upstream research analyst. He switched to corporate analysis in 2004, with a coverage group that included Majors, Independents and National Oil Companies. Luke led the development and launch of Wood Mackenzie’s M&A Service in 2009. Luke holds an MSc in Petroleum Geoscience from Imperial College London, and a BSc in Geology from the University of Manchester.

    • Do fiscal terms really matter in the Middle East?

      • Homayoun is a Senior Research Analyst, MENA Upstream Oil and Gas and is our Iran specialist Homayoun joined Wood Mackenzie in 2014. His main responsibility is leading the coverage of the Iran upstream service. Homayoun also helps covering Iraqi Kurdistan, Iraq, Qatar, Algeria and Oman. His opinions on Iran are sought after by Wood Mackenzie’s clients in the oil and gas industry, banks and institutional investors. He is also regularly quoted in the financial press. Homayoun has taken part in several consulting projects, advising investors on company due diligence in Iran, and leading gas market analysis in Oman. Homayoun graduated from ESCP Europe in 2014 with an MSc in Energy Management, holds an MA in MENA geopolitics from Sciences Po Grenoble, and a MSc in Energy and Environment Economics from UPMF Grenoble. He is a native Farsi and French speaker and also speaks English and Spanish.

      • Tom is an upstream analyst on the Middle East Research team, with a specific focus on the UAE and Qatar upstream sector, and LNG supply projects across the region. He is based in Dubai. Since joining Wood Mackenzie in 2012, Tom has worked in the Northern Africa oil & gas research team, and consulting projects for a range of IOCs and financial institutions, including benchmarking opportunities and deep-dive asset studies. Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, Tom spent a year working in petrophysical data management in Aberdeen for DataCo Ltd. Tom graduated from Glasgow University with a BSc (Honours) in Earth Science, followed by an MSc in Petroleum Geology from Heriot-Watt and Edinburgh University.
