What the session will cover: PA6 and PA66 – Polyamide bio-sourcing update, Cast Nylon and PA Film technical and market aspects.       • John leads Wood Mackenzie's North American Crude Markets Service where he is responsible for short and long term North American crude market outlooks, crude differential forecasts, and midstream logistics analysis. Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, John worked in sell side equity research where he supported equity coverage of independent US refiners and refining logistics midstream master limited partnerships. John also has experience in upstream financial planning and analysis and is a former officer of the United States Navy. John holds dual B.S. degrees in economics and finance from Southern Methodist University, a M.S. in Accountancy from Texas A&M University, and a M.S. in Finance from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. John is a Certified Public Accountant and is currently a CFA Level III Candidate.

      • Steve Zinger joined Wood Mackenzie in 2012 to develop a global chemical research team to compliment Wood Mackenzie’s existing capabilities in energy, metals, and mining. He now coordinates the Chemical Consulting Practice in the Americas. Steve currently contributes to research, multi-client, and private consulting studies using his expertise in the markets for ethylene, propylene, and butadiene. He regularly provides executive presentations about the outlook for the chemical industry for his customers’ private meetings as well as for key chemical industry events. Steve has over 25 years of international experience in the chemical industry, in various roles including Managing Director of Asia (Singapore) and Global Olefins Business Director (USA).

      • Laura joined Wood Mackenzie in 2017 after more than 25 years in the nylon and polyester industrial fiber business. Prior to joining WM, she worked for DuPont, Kordsa, Hailide America, and most recently Nexis Fibers. Her roles have included everything from process engineer to shift supervisor to market manager. Laura grew up in Rhode Island and received a chemical engineering degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. In her spare time, she is an avid underwater photographer and is currently trying to improve her golf handicap. She enjoys the occasional glass of pinot noir in her suburban Philadelphia home.

      • Born in Milan, Italy, Franco Rossi graduated in business economics from Milan's Bocconi University. He began his career at SAR S.p.A, an Italian company which operated in the technical fibers industry and quickly became the export manager. He left the company to follow a different career path, but then rejoined that same company as CEO in 1994. In 1998, he joined Aquafil. 18 months later, he moved to the U.S., where he helped establish the subsidiary Aquafil USA in Cartersville, Georgia. He served as vice president of sales and marketing at Aquafil USA before being appointed president in early 2006. He sits on the policy committee of the Carpet and Rugs Institute (CRI), the trade association for textile flooring industries, of Dalton, Georgia and is a member of the CALRecycle carpet advisory committee in California.

Prior to AdvanSix, Kumud worked at Honeywell, DuPont, W.L. Gore, Novellus, and Watkins-Johnson. Kumud holds an MBA from the Wharton School, and a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Washington State University.

      • Augusto Amorim is Senior Manager, Americas Vehicle Sales Forecasts at LMC Automotive. He is based in Troy, MI, from where he oversees the detailed Light Vehicle demand outlook for the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. His career in forecasting started in 2012 at R.L. Polk, later acquired by IHS Markit. Before that, he was a journalist covering the automotive industry for more than a decade. Given his unique background, Augusto is able to deliver the story behind the forecasts and translate consumer preferences and OEM strategies into numbers. He has been quoted in major media outlets in the US and Brazil. Augusto holds a Bachelors of Arts in Journalism from Faculdade de Comunicação Social Cásper Líbero (São Paulo, Brazil), a Master of Consumer Behavior from Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing (São Paulo, Brazil) and a Master of Business Administration from Hult International Business School (Boston, MA).
