      • Neal has nearly three decades of experience in the energy industry – hired by BG as a petroleum geologist fresh out of university, he initially worked within the company’s Exploration & Production Team in Asia-Pacific and the UK before his desire to understand the bigger picture led to a role within Strategic Planning. Six years later Neal left BG, attracted by Wood Mackenzie’s innovative business model, commercial focus and the opportunity to work directly with many different clients. He started out as a research analyst for Latin America and soon progressed to Head of Global Energy Research. Neal’s career has taken him into many other areas of the business, helping to inform the holistic view of Wood Mackenzie he has today. In 1999, he helped to lead the development of a new technology approach before moving into Consulting where he worked in partnership with clients on issues ranging from the creation of new corporate growth strategies to improving performance. He later became Global Head of Consulting, facilitating the development of the practice and doubling the size of the business. Neal was appointed President of Wood Mackenzie in 2015 and is responsible for overall business performance. Based in Houston and an active member of the National Petroleum Council, he remains highly connected to the energy industry while being committed to diversifying Wood Mackenzie’s sectors, culture and user interfaces to create industry-leading levels of client satisfaction and growth.

      • Andrew has over 25 years experience assisting majors and independents in the development of their exploration strategy and currently heads Wood Mackenzie’s Exploration Research. He provides analysis of exploration economics, strategies and industry trends. Andrew previously led the Exploration Strategy offering within the Upstream Consulting business. He worked with clients to help optimize their investments in petroleum exploration and advised on strategy, process, opportunity characterization and evaluation. As part of this offering, Andrew directed Wood Mackenzie’s series of multi-client projects on exploration, deepwater and Arctic themes. Andrew has been with Wood Mackenzie’s energy team since 1995. Until the end of 2001, he managed the team responsible for Sub-Saharan Africa research products and consultancy, undertaking a range of market analysis and regional strategy projects. He started his career in 1990 as an international new ventures geologist with Ranger Oil. Later, as Ranger focused on West Africa, he became project geologist for Angola. Andrew graduated from Imperial College, London, with a BSc Honours degree in Geology, and holds a PhD in Geology from University College, Cardiff.

      • Giles directs Wood Mackenzie’s LNG research and is a global gas expert, maintaining client relationships across the world. Having led the development of our LNG Corporate offering, Giles now manages Wood Mackenzie’s LNG Service and Tool products, drawing on his nine years of experience in gas & LNG. His particular expertise lies in LNG supply, LNG contracting and pricing, LNG costs, FLNG, asset valuation, competitor benchmarking and market analysis. Prior to joining the LNG team in 2008, Giles worked in Wood Mackenzie’s upstream group covering the Middle East and South Asia. He previously worked for Evaluate Energy in London. Giles holds a BA in History & Politics including a final year paper on African Petroleum Economies, from the University of Exeter.
