Starting with Offshore Mahakam in 2015, PERTAMINA has been awarded 100% stake and operatorship in 10 PSC extensions to date. The addition of these assets would be transformative: maintaining 100% stake in the PSC extensions would take output to ~800 kboe/d for the next 5 years, but doubles upstream spend. To manage the technical requirements and financial commitments of its PSC extension portfolio, we expect PERTAMINA to look for new partners. How will the NOC manage its PSC extension portfolio?
