Report summary
Carbon capture and storage (CCS) hubs will help to derisk development by allowing for efficiencies of scale and shared cost. Identifying CCS hubs requires matching CO2 sources with CO2 sinks based on emissions volumes, storage capacity and an understanding of available infrastructure. Using data from our Lens Subsurface and Upstream products and our Emissions Benchmarking Tools, Wood Mackenzie conducted a screening exercise that identified four locations for detailed assessment as potential CCS hubs.
