Johnson has approximately 20 years of experience in the LNG and gas industry, during which he has held diverse roles in LNG origination, business development, structured trading and analytics.
Before joining Wood Mackenzie in December 2023, he worked at Diamond Gas International (a subsidiary of Mitsubishi) for 2 years, focusing on structured LNG trading in Asia. Prior to that, he was with PetroChina International (Singapore) Ltd, where he was responsible for LNG business development in South Asia and Southeast Asia. Johnson also spent 8 years at QatarEnergy (formerly RasGas), where he was involved in numerous long-term deals and negotiations, including the SPA renegotiation between Qatar and India in 2014 and negotiations with European customers. Before that, he worked for the Shell LNG marketing team in India, focusing on marketing spot LNG to downstream customers. Johnson started his career in 2003 with Gujarat Gas, where he was responsible for the construction of city gas networks.
