Diego Espinosa

Diego is based in Mexico City and focuses on the North American onshore wind energy sector. He applies a data-driven approach to market intelligence, focusing on asset-level operational data, supply chain dynamics, and technology trends. His work supports strategic insights into wind energy performance, cost modeling, and policy impacts across the region.

Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, Diego held key roles at Vestas Wind Systems, where he supported operational planning and performance optimization across Latin America. He designed targeted maintenance strategies and conducted economic assessments to improve resource allocation and reduce operational costs. 

Education

He holds a degree in Sustainable Development Engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and has completed specialized coursework in energy systems, markets and policy from different institutions.
