In his role as an associate, Greig is responsible for market tracking and ensuring data quality in Wood Mackenzie’s Lens Hydrogen platform. This work has equipped him with a broad and up-to-date knowledge of hydrogen industry trends, participants and recent developments. In addition to this, he monitors global hydrogen policies and investments, as well as tracking developments in the electrolyser manufacturing sector. Greig joined Wood Mackenzie as a student researcher while he completed his university studies, before joining full-time in summer 2023.

Greig was first exposed to the hydrogen sector during his internship as an Energy Economist at Mott Macdonald, during which he contributed to LCOH modelling as part of a consulting job. During this internship he also worked on a range of international renewable energy consulting jobs, working with clients based in India, Guyana and Paraguay. Aside from this, Greig completed an internship with a boutique geothermal consultancy. This internship saw him lead a project to identify suitable facilities for the installation of ground source heating & cooling solutions in the Scottish Highlands.
