Kárys is responsible for analysis of the Latin American wind power market, by conducting original quantitative and qualitative research. She is focused on market developments, future growth scenarios and supply chain dynamics across the region, offering insights and reports around these topics.

Kárys has built both academic and corporate experience in the power sector. Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, as a senior analyst at Neoenergia, she focused on sustainability involving power generation, transmission, distribution and commercialization. Before that, she participated in research projects including renewables integration in Brazil and climate risk management focused on wind power. She also worked for almost 4 years in the environmental consulting sector.

Kárys holds a Masters in Energy Planning from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, where she researched the complementarity of energy sources and its impacts on the Brazilian electricity market, by applying computational modelling tools. During her graduation in Environmental Engineering from the same university, she spent an academic semester as a visiting student at Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain).
