Miles Sasser

Miles Sasser is a senior research analyst based in Houston, specialising in upstream activities in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. He has extensive deepwater experience in project development and oil and gas exploration, focusing on asset valuation, company strategy, and legal and regulatory affairs.

Miles joined Wood Mackenzie in 2024, where he supports clients in the Gulf of Mexico engaged in upstream, midstream, finance, and oilfield services. He also addresses legal and regulatory issues related to oil and gas projects.

Before joining Wood Mackenzie, Miles spent seven years at Hess Corporation, where he worked on development projects in the deepwater U.S. Gulf of Mexico and Guyana. Additionally, he supported the Business Development team as an offshore geologist and contributed to exploration projects in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico, offshore Newfoundland, and the Permian Basin. Prior to his time at Hess, Miles handled complex transactional matters for clients in the energy industry.
