Uday has over 30 years of experience in the metals & mining sector covering aluminium, copper, zinc, stainless steel and copper products. He joined Wood Mackenzie in 2014 as manager in the aluminium markets team.
During his career he has worked on a range of projects in the metals sector, including detailed market studies, cost analyses and strategic advisory work for clients including rolled producers, aluminium processing companies and financial organisations.
Uday joined from Ma’aden Saudi Arabia where he was a senior marketing specialist, focusing on aluminium marketing and sales.
He was previously a manager at Dubai Aluminium Ltd (Dubal) where he focused on marketing and sales and contributed to the start-up of EMAL phases 1 and 2.
Prior to that, Uday was a principal consultant at CRU, heading the downstream aluminium analysis. Previous experiences also include Macquarie Bank, Metal Bulletin Research and Outokumpu Oyj where he acted as a senior economist in the corporate management team
