This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
It is reported that after a consultation period, Ineos has made a final decision to close the acrylonitrile plant it owns and operates at Seal Sands in the UK. The 280 ktpa facility represents approximately 4% of global installed acrylonitrile capacity and one-third of the European capacity. The facility, when running at full nameplate capacity, can consume over 300 ktpa of propylene monomer, although in recent history it has not been running at full rates.
