Russia is a major net exporter of petrochemical feedstocks, and the current conflict in Ukraine will therefore expose the industry to disruption. This impact will be felt in the form of increasing energy prices – affecting both utility and feedstock prices - and from sanctions imposed by a broad array of countries. This Insight provides a first, high-level look at which commodities and countries are most at risk of disruption, and offers some initial analysis as to what the impacts might look like.
