Alliance Resource Partners Illinois Basin coal mines

Alliance, the largest coal producer in the Illinois Basin, owns and operates a longwall mine in Hamilton County, Illinois, and several continuous mining operations spread across western Kentucky, Indiana and Illinois. The company produces mainly high-energy, high-sulphur coal with low chlorine content. With a significant new investment in the River View complex, future production is shifting toward more-efficient, lower-cost operations.
