Report summary
Elkview is a large-scale surface metallurgical coal mine in the Elk Valley, southeastern British Columbia, operated by Glencore as part of the broader Elk Valley Resources complex. The mine produces low-sulphur, medium-volatile hard coking coal for export markets. Marketable production is forecast at 7.3 Mt in 2026, reflecting lower processing yields as mining transitions into higher-ash areas of the orebody. Reserves support operations to 2061, underpinned by a resource base of over 400 Mt.
