Kartika Selabumi coal mine
Report summary
Kartika Selabumi is a coking coal mine with a production capacity of 1.5 Mtpa. It consists of a second generation Coal Contract of Work and six mining permit (IUP) concessions. The seven concessions cover a total area of 600 square kilometres and are located 60 kilometres west of Samarinda, the capital city of East Kalimantan. Kartika Selabumi's CCoW concession area is located next to Gunung Bayan Pratama. Production was suspended in 2012 and we do not expect it to reopen.
