Report summary
Oaky North is part of Glencore's Oaky Creek mining complex. The complex includes the now closed Oaky No. 1 underground mine (covered in a separate analysis). Oaky North produces hard coking coal for export markets. Oaky Creek is located in Queensland's Bowen Basin, south-west of Mackay and 90km north east of Emerald. Both Oaky North and Oaky No. 1 are covered by mining license ML 1832.
