PTBA Air Laya coal mine
Report summary
The Air Laya mine is owned by state-owned company PTBA. The mine covers an area of 76 square kilometres and is situated within the 664 square kilometre Tanjung Enim concession area located in the Muara Enim and Lahat regencies, South Sumatra. The mine operates under an IUP (Izin Usaha Pertambangan) mining permit. The majority of coal sold from Air Laya is bituminous and sub-bituminous thermal coal into both export and domestic markets.
