PTBA Banko Barat coal mine
Report summary
The Banko Barat coal mine is owned by state-owned PT Bukit Asam (PTBA). The mine covers an area of 45 square kilometres and is situated within the 664 square kilometre Tanjung Enim concession located in the Muara Enim and Lahat regencies, South Sumatra. The mine operates under an IUP (Izin Usaha Pertambangan) mining permit. The majority of coal sold from Banko Barat is sub-bituminous coal, into both domestic and export markets.
