PTBA Muara Tiga Besar Utara coal mine
Report summary
The Muara Tiga Besar Utara (MTBU) mine is owned by state-owned company PT Bukit Asam (PTBA). It is located within the 664 square kilometre Tanjung Enim concession located in the Muara Enim and Lahat regencies, South Sumatra. The mine operates under an IUP mining permit. The majority of coal produced from MTBU is sub-bituminous coal that is sold into domestic markets. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating a number of granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry standard cash operating costs. This report contains a detailed asset note giving you a holistic view of the asset, including an operational overview through to a timeline of events from inception to now.
