Report summary
Quintette is a metallurgical coal project in British Columbia's Peace River coalfield on the site of a once-operating mine. Teck Coal, the former project owner, slowed development plans for the mine due to weak metallurgical coal markets and its Elk Valley centralisation efforts. Under new ownership by Conuma Resources, the mine commenced operations in 2024. Quintette produces a mid-volatile hard coking coal destined for the export metallurgical coal market.
