Quintette coal mine
Report summary
Quintette is a metallurgical coal project in British Columbia's Peace River coalfield on the site of a once-operating mine. Teck Coal, the former project owner, slowed development plans for the mine due to weak metallurgical coal markets and its Elk Valley centralisation efforts. Under new ownership by Conuma Resources, we expect the mine to come online in 2030 at the earliest. Quintette will produce a mid-volatile hard coking coal that will be destined for the export metallurgical coal market.
