Report summary

Tarrawonga is an open cut mine located in the Gunnedah Basin of New South Wales and is approximately 42 km north northwest of Gunnedah and 15 km north east of Boggabri.The mine is owned by Tarrawonga Coal Pty Ltd a joint venture between Whitehaven (70%) and Idemitsu (30%) and is operated by Whitehaven.The mine produces thermal and metallurgical coal primarily for export markets.
