Wambo coal mine

Report summary

Wambo is a surface mine in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales. Wambo is operated in conjunction the Wambo North underground mine (covered in a separate analysis) by Peabody. Wambo produces thermal coal for export markets. The Wambo complex is located 15 kilometres west of Singleton, near the village of Warkworth.
