2050: The Hydrogen Possibility (Executive Summary)
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
The nascent low-carbon hydrogen market shows no sign of abating. In 2020, we saw seven dedicated national hydrogen strategies and targets, headlined by the EU. At the same time, the green hydrogen pipeline expanded at pace: measuring 26 GW of named projects by December versus 15 GW in late-summer. But as the production side began to scale, the focus turned to logistics, transportation, storage and end-use. In this executive summary version of the full report, we outline our central view of how low-carbon hydrogen could scale many of these end-use markets out to 2050. We focus on ten sub-sectors across 16 specific countries and regions. Please note that the full 90-page report is available as an exclusive to global subscribers of the Energy Transition Service.
