Global LNG supply will grow only +5 Mt in 2020. The year was anticipated to be challenging, but coronavirus has accelerated and amplified the impeding oversupply. With more than 15 Mt of output curtailed due too low prices, producers will want to make the most out of this winter. This disruption also creates an artificially strong growth for 2021 – if the market can balance with limited supply response.
