Global LNG run rates have climbed to 72% in August as the Strait of Hormuz disruption persists, with transits remaining limited. In North America, US LNG utilisation held at 85%, with Cameron LNG recovering from maintenance and Golden Pass exports growing, offsetting lower output from Sabine Pass. However, Costa Azul LNG and LNG Canada continued to face operational challenges. In Africa, Nigerian LNG output remained high, while Angola LNG maintenance overran its scheduled early August restart date. In Russia, Arctic LNG-2 has doubled its output, while Yamal LNG utilisation has dropped sharply, suggesting possible maintenance. Sakhalin-2 has fully recovered from July's seasonal maintenance.
