This quarter was marked by a slowdown in new pipeline project announcements. Most activity was focused on developing brownfield compression enhancement projects to accelerate capacity additions. Kinder Morgan’s Vail Enhancement project increased the El Paso Natural Gas Pipeline capacity by 95 mmcfd by modifying its existing Vail compression station. Meanwhile, 494 mmcfd of new interstate pipelines were proposed during Q2 along with over 4.2 bcfd of expansion capacity along intrastate pipelines. Please note: in this update, we have included our prior quarter in-start assumptions to increase visibility for clients. Be sure to bookmark the North America Gas landing page to stay up to date on the latest pipeline infrastructure project updates.
