Report summary

TransCanada's AECO to Dawn bullet service received its final regulatory approval on 21 September 2017 paving the way for western Canadian producers to compete more effectively in eastern Canada even as Rover and Nexus deliver Marcellus and Utica supplies. The approval clears the last hurdle for the bullet service to commence in November 2017. Firm contracting on the mainline leaving Alberta is now expected to average more than 3.5 bcfd for the upcoming winter or 1 bcfd higher than the previous winter. Will this be the first in a wave of midstream projects that will unbridle WCSB supply?
