On 15 December, Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company (TGP) filed a proposal to amend its FERC gas tariff to implement a producer-certified gas (PCG) pooling service, from which gas supply that has been certified by a qualified third party and meets the 0.2 percent threshold for methane intensity can be aggregated for market transaction. If approved, the TGP filing could become a huge leap for the responsibly sourced gas (RSG) industry, but there are also comments and oppositions from its major shippers that demonstrate challenges in the process.
