What’s inside?
You'll get in-depth analysis of Singapore’s gas and LNG markets, including the factors that are likely to have the greatest influence on supply and demand.

The report comes with data sets and charts covering information on Singapore’s economic outlook, gas and LNG supply and demand, as well as contract statistics and price forecasts.

What’s the key takeaway from this report?
Singapore's gas market is expected to be undersupplied from 2023 as demand outstrips piped gas imports and contracted LNG supply.

An impending supply crunch in East Malaysia from 2025 contributes to a tighter supply situation in Peninsular Malaysia from 2023, earlier than the 2028 forecasted in our H1 2018 update. Therefore, we expect piped gas volumes from Malaysia to expire from 2025. In view of this, the energy regulator, Energy Market Authority (EMA), was given extended powers to manage potential gas supply disruptions. Meanwhile, Singapore continues building expertise in LNG bunkering, with new investments in infrastructure. SLNG is contemplating a fifth storage tank, while Pavilion signed an MOU with Novatek on potential collaboration over Arctic 2 LNG.
