The Barcelona terminal first started operations in 1969 and is Spain's oldest LNG regas facility. The terminal has been expanded a number of times, most recently in April 2011 when a new 150,000m³ storage tank was added.In recent years, Enagás has proposed the decommissioning of several of the oldest storage tanks at the site.
