GS Energy and SK E&S are joint owners of the terminal. The EPC contract was jointly awarded to GS Energy and SK E&S and construction began in May 2013. Boryeong received its first cargo in November 2016 and began commercial operations in the beginning of 2017. Boryeong has a nominal capacity of 3 mmtpa and a peak sendout capacity of 3.7 mmtpa.
