Cheniere and CNPC conclude first ever US LNG sales contract to China

Cheniere has signed two long-term SPAs with CNPC totalling 1.2 mmtpa. These deals provide further momentum for a final investment decision on Corpus Christi Train 3, planned this year. While it enables CNPC to accommodate short term needs ahead of the commissioning, by the end of 2019, of Power of Siberia. Could this deal also signal a return of legacy Asian LNG buyers to market?
