Elba Island - LNG regas terminal
Report summary
Elba Island first started operations in 1978 but the facility was closed in 1980 after only two years of service. However, the terminal was reactivated in October 2001, following growing demand for natural gas imports. After a prolonged re-commissioning period, it received its first shipment in October 2003.
