Isle of Grain - LNG regas terminal
Report summary
The Isle of Grain terminal was constructed in 1982 and was originally a peak shaving facility. However, with declining domestic production and a growing import requirement, the facility was converted to an LNG import terminal in 2005. It is now one of the largest terminals in Europe and is planning another expansion in mid-2025.
