Commodity Market Report
Global gas & LNG weekly summary: 2 Mar 2023
Report summary
TTTF’s front-month contract settled at $15 on Wednesday about flat from a week ago, as demand ticked up. Northeast Asian prices rose to $14.1, which eroded some of TTF’s still present premium over Asia as the more profitable destination for a U.S. LNG cargo. European demand broke its downward trend this week and was instead up by 282 mcm/d, totaling 1.850 bcm/d. This is a 147 mcm/d decrease from the previous 5-year average of 1.99 bcm/d.
