Golden Pass LNG Terminal was initially built as a regas facility in a joint venture between Qatar Petroleum (70%), ExxonMobil (17.6%) and ConocoPhillips (12.4%). The facility is located on the Sabine-Neches Waterway to the south of Port Arthur, Texas. Construction was completed in 2010 with imports from Qatar starting in 2011.
