The Masela PSC contains the giant Abadi gas field located in the Timor Sea. INPEX discovered the field in 2000 and will be its operator, with a 65% working interest. Appraisal drilling in 2007-2008 and 2013-2014 confirmed recoverable gas resources of approximately 21 tcf.Several development options were considered from the start of the project.
