Samcheok LNG began operations in June 2014. It is South Korea's fifth regas terminal (and KOGAS' fourth). It is owned and operated by KOGAS and is the only regasification facility on the east coast of the mainland. The EPC was awarded to POSCO E&C and construction began in October 2010.Samcheok has a nominal regasification capacity of 9 mmtpa and a peak sendout capacity of 1,320 tonnes/hour.
