Report summary
Southern Energy LNG Phase 1 is the first phase of Southern Energy S.A.’s (SESA’s) under-construction floating LNG terminal in the Gulf of San Matias in Rio Negro, Argentina. The phase will deploy Golar LNG’s (Golar) 2.45 mmtpa Hilli Episeyo FLNG unit from late 2027 under a 20-year charter agreement. The unit will operate alongside Southern Energy LNG Phase 2 – which will deploy Golar’s 3.5 mmtpa MK II FLNG unit from 2028 under a similar charter agreement.
