Yamal LNG: victim of its own success?
Report summary
Yamal LNG is ramping up production faster than almost anyone expected, with Train 2 starting in the summer and Train 3 due to begin production before the end of the year. Yamal LNG has had to bring in additional ships and restrict cargoes from taking the eastbound Northern Sea Route to cope with the volumes over the summer. Come winter, with an additional train on-line and the return of the ice, will Yamal LNG have enough specialist ice-breaking LNG ships to export at full production?
