Report summary
The Altan Tsagaan Ovoo (ATO) is situated 38 km west of Tsagaan Ovoo Soum in Dornod province, Eastern Mongolia. It lies 120 km northwest of the provincial capital, Choibalsan, and approximately 660 km east of Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. The project hosts epithermal gold and polymetallic deposits containing transitional sulphides within feeder structures. The mine plan targets a production rate of 1.2 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) of oxide ore for the heap leach facility(not included in the accompanying profile) and 2.2 Mtpa of transition and fresh ores for the new processing plant.
