Report summary

The operation is located in northwest of Catamarca province in Argentina at 2 600 masl. The operation is comprised of an open pit and a on site 120kt/d ore mill connected by a 317km pipeline to a filter plant located in Cruz del Norte Tucuman. The plant produces copper and molybdenum concentrates and dore. During 2015 Alumbrera revised its mine plan eliminating the planned stripping of phases 13 and 14 in the Alumbrera pit and focusing on the completion of mining in the Bajo el Duazno pit. After its completion the mine will be entering care and maintenance.
