Report summary

Baotou Iron and Steel Group is an integrated steel producer in Baotou City Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is the largest steel plant within the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and was ranked as the 15th largest Chinese steel producing company. It produces a wide range of steel products such as bar/rebar wire rod rail medium width hot/cold rolled coil plate and seamless pipe.Baotou is a relatively low cost producer and is sitting within the first quartile of the Chinese cost curve. This is mainly due to cheap raw materials in the region and a high self sufficiency rate in iron ore.
