The Black Butte project is located in Meagher County at south-central Montana, USA. It is located 27km north of White Sulphur Springs. The latest feasibility study released in December 2020 proposed a 1.2Mt/a underground mine to produce 23kt/a of copper contained in copper concentrate over an 8-year mine life. Ore will be mined from Johnny Lee deposit using underground mining method, and processed through conventional crush, grind and froth flotation process to produce copper concentrate.
