This is a conventional open pit mine that treats its sulphide ore in a conventional 200kt/d ore concentrator and its leachable ore in a 174.75kt/a cathode SxEw circuit. Those capacities were reached after building a new concentrator (Concentrator II) of 100kt/d ore in June 2015 and the SxEw plant III of 120kt/a cathode in June 2014. The cathode circuit now (2022) operates 2 fully SxEw plants. SxEw II with a capacity of 43.8kt/and the SxEw III plant with a capacity of 120kt/a. Since 2017 the SxEw I (Esde I) operates only its Sx section since the EW section was stopped. The Sx of the SxEw I operates in order to handle more flow volume because of the lower grade of the PLS.
