Report summary
After acquiring Hartebeestfontein in mid-1999, in late 2000 DRD consolidated the management of Buffelsfontein and Hartes into one operating unit, which it refers to as the North West Operations. Accordingly post-2000 production from Buffelsfontein is included in the analysis for Hartebeestfontein (DRD North West Operations) elsewhere in this volume. The merger of Blyvoors and Buffelsfontein (Buffels) into Durban Roodepoort Deep was completed in September 1997.
